This once a year festival in Todo Santos, in Guatemala, has to be one of the most interesting and bizarre events I have ever been to.

High up in the mountains where all the villagers wear the same dress and alcohol is banned (but you can still get your hands on the evil Quetzalteca) they manage to fill the place out with a Ferris wheel (no idea how it gets there) and video game machines and other festival goodies that are reminiscent of your childhood.

While this is an old video, one I made coming back down the from high Guatemalan mountains. We’d gone up there on a whim, not knowing what to expect; we ended up feeling like we’d entered another dimension.

Take a look – you should go, if you’re in Guatemala, I guarantee you nothing but smiles. Even if it is raining. I doubt it hasn’t changed a bit.
