Of course, we don’t own it, nor do we want it, hell, where would anyone keep it? Even Sea World doesn’t keep a Whale Shark in a tank.
We just-sort-of adopted and gave him it a less scientific name (which sounded like a robot from Starwars)
Honestly, naming the whale shark wasn’t really the part we were that interested in (but it’s a really nice touch). For us, it’s really a great opportunity to have found such an easy way to give back to a fantastic program (this is the tip of the iceberg, no pun intended). Not only is it easy, it’s also in-expensive. It’s a good deed, and a great feeling to know that you’re allowing someone else to do good once your’e back from your trip.
This is our first venture into giving back through our MORE MAKES MERRY program here at MERRINESS.GLOBAL. For us this a perfect example of travelers seeking out a great way to give back to those that help make great travel destinations possible, now and in the future.
It’s a great opportunity to have found such an easy way to give back to a fantastic program. Not only is it easy, it’s not expensive. It’s a good deed, and a great feeling to know that you’re allowing someone else to continue ‘making merry’ when you’re not around. It almost feels wrong to be trumping it up because in the scheme of things (money, ease, scope) it’s really almost a ‘token’.
However, it’s not a ‘token’ It’s a start.
It’s a first step in the right direction.
We believe it’s a new way to look at how we give when we travel.
More makes merry.
